Cacao is a powerful fruit native to the Amazon rainforest that has been used since ancient times as a sacred medicine. When brewed as an elixir and used in a ceremonial space with intention, it opens us to to connect with mother earth, our ancestors, and ourselves. Cacao opens the heart, clears the mind, and may assist in moving blocked or negativity energies and awaken one's creative side through prayers, songs, breath and movement. Cacao may assist us in manifesting one's visions and dreams into reality, and facilitate presence and heart centered connection with others.

Fatua founded Soul Melody Cacao after her first time in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, where she met Jane' and her family in the indigenous community of Boca Pariamanu, who grow organic cacao and craft it by hand with love. She now also supports farmers and Mayan women's collectives who grow and hand process cacao out of Guatemala.
